With FrameEditor you can have a database publishing following some simple phases:
Creation of a graphic project
This is the definition phase of your publication graphic layout (price-list, catalogue, etc...). It can be accomplished through current company standards or your own creativity.
Basically, you build a layout (or lay-outs) of your publication directly in the layout program.
To make the layout task easier you can use pre-defined models that can be possibly modified by the user (see picture examples).
Data acquisition
In this phase you acquire the necessary data for your publication.
These data can be read by the company database (for example: AS/400) or by the usual information management programs (Access, Excel, FileMaker...)
These data can be acquired even a little before the processing activation. This means that it is possible to "test" the whole publication with fictitious data up to the completion of your graphic part. |

Activation of database publishing
At this point it will be enough, with a command, to start FrameEditor to get the whole layout of the publication in Adobe FrameMaker or in Adobe InDesign.
In this way we get a "file" ready to be delivered to the print process, both directly in-company (inside colour or black-and-white print) and OFFSET or Digital mode.
Eye-catching advantages
Besides a cost reduction, you can get your laid-out page in such a short time that you can be sure you have also put in your last-minute changes. The latter can refer to deletion or addition of items, description changes, price variations, graphic set-ups, ...
Moreover, FrameEditor is able to make calculations automatically, an essential function to speed up a layout process (like VAT addition or definition, price translation into foreign currency) and any processing type you may need with input data (standardization of input data)
To sum it up, FrameEditor gives you the following advantages:

Absolutely user-friendly

Relevant time reduction in performance

Cost reduction or cost slashing photolith and photocomposition

Last-minute changes and contents updates before printing, with a guarantee of "NO ERRORS".

Migration to other "electronic showcases" (PDF, Internet, CD-Rom, DVD, ...) without extra costs
